Alix is a decorative artist producing murals and gilding since 2001. From the Mill Reef Club and Jumby Bay in Antigua in the Caribbean to John Aspinall's Casino in Mayfair, London, Alix's work adorns the walls of high-end homes and businesses around the world.
Having won the Worshipful Company of Painter Stainers' Award for Decorative Arts 25 years ago, Alix is an interiors and antiques bod, interior designer, and interiors writer and can advise on interiors, consult on colour schemes, 'house doctor' homes to ensure a fast sale, and source furnishings and antiques. She's helped many families sort through the estates of loved ones, clearing out, valuing antiques and finding the best prices for them with contacts in most of the best auction houses and amongst dealers throughout the UK and abroad. She will get stuck in, turning up in a big van, often with a Bedlington terrier or two in tow, an abundance of solutions and tact and a cheery demeanour.
Alix regularly produces features for publications such as Homes and Gardens, The Observer magazine, 25 Beautiful Homes, Period Living, House Beautiful and Cosmopolitan and was a former Homes Editor for Period Living magazine. She has lived and worked in the U.S., Brussels, the Caribbean, and the U.K. and has dual Caribbean and British citizenship.
Her home, an atmospheric converted Grade II listed Georgian coach house The Glebe House London in Clapham, has been hired out for period dramas, music videos, dinners and events since 2012.
